Morning photography is the best photography according to all the camera magazines. My dirty little secret is that up until the summer of 2008 I had never given myself the opportunity to prove it. I rarely left the house before 10.00am so never actually stood on a hillside a dawn with a dew soaked camera waiting for the perfect morning light.
There, I have said it. My conscience is as clear as my portfolio of morning photographs.
However, this summer I put in the effort and was amply rewarded.
The photo abouve was taken about 30 minutes after sunrise and the light was clear and bright and the camera captured the colours of the wall and bouganvilla to perfection.
The next day I got up early to shoot a real dawn shot with mist rising from the fields.
Perhaps I caught that one just a little too early!
